Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.
Our school facilities
We offer a range of learning environments. They help students stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day. Our facilities may include:
- bright and comfortable classrooms
- a well-stocked library for reading and research
- sports fields for fitness and fun
- art and music and performances spaces for creative learning
- 1:1 iPad program.
Resources and technology
Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.
Innovative Learning Environments
The classrooms at Bolwarra PS are designed with student movement and flexibility in mind. Flexible furniture allows for students to easily switch from individual to group work. All students can be quickly transformed into double rooms allowing students to work together. Tables double as whiteboards, enabling students to collaborate and plan together.
iPad Program
The iPad program engages students and enables them to develop the skills and habits to become successful 21st century learners. The key feature of the iPad program is the philosophy behind it, that being, students are creators of content, not consumers. The iPad program transforms teaching pedagogy enabling teachers to implement innovative learning experiences where are students develop the skills to think critically, problem solve and demonstrate creativity. The mobile nature of the iPad enables student learning to transition seamlessly both inside and outside the classroom. Bolwarra PS provides each student with their iPad and Apple Pencil.
Sensory Playground
Our school sensory playground provides students with a rich and creative play space that is home to a number of bird and wildlife. This play space includes a hand pump, that allows students to create a creek and interact with their environment. A number of tee-pees provide spaces for students to play and work outside.
Library
Our Library is a learning hub within the school. Well stocked with a wide selection of books for all ages, it is the place to be at lunch times with students able to read and play board games.
